How to Make This Bread Bowl Dip Filled With Garlic Cheese

  • Choose Your Bread: Start by selecting a hearty loaf of French bread to serve as your bread bowl. A round French loaf works best, but feel free to get creative and choose whatever type of bread you prefer. You could try Italian or sourdough bread as well.
  • Hollow Out the Bread: Using a sharp knife, carefully cut a circle in the top of the bread loaf and remove the center, leaving a thick shell to hold the dip. Be sure to save the bread you remove – you’ll need it for dipping later!
  • Prepare the Dip: Now comes the fun part – making the dip! Follow the instructions below to how to make the cheese dip.
  • Fill the Bread Bowl: Once your dip is ready, spoon it into the hollowed-out bread bowl, making sure to fill it to the brim. If desired, sprinkle some extra cheese or herbs on top for added flavor and visual appeal.
  • Bake and Serve: Place the filled bread bowl on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven until the dip is hot and bubbly and the bread is golden brown and crispy. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
