Italian Sausage

Lemon Juice

Bourbon/Whiskey

Heavy Whipping Cream

Instructions
In a large dutch oven or cooking pot melt the butter over medium heat
Add sausage to melted butter until browned. Remove sausage from the pot and put aside
Add mushrooms to the pot and cook for about 10 minutes
Add onions to the pot until they are clear
Add garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes
Add Bourbon or whiskey to the pot and cook for 1-2 minutes
Add cream cheese and cook until smooth
Add heavy whipping cream, ground mustard, lemon juice, cayenne pepper, sugar, and salt and pepper to taste
Add the cooked sausage back into the pot
Continue cooking until it's the consistency you prefer
Cook noodles as instructed on the package
Notes
Make sure to save your pasta water. You can use this water by adding it to the mixture if it gets too thick.
