Equipment

  • 3 qt saucepan
  • 10 inch pie pan

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Margarine – melted
  • 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Walnuts – chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp Cloves
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 2 cups Apples – peeled & chopped green apples preferred

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350
  • Melt butter in a 3-quart saucepan. Remove pan from heat
  • Blend in the sugar and egg
  • Add all of the remaining ingredients and mix until blended
  • Turn mixture into a greased and floured 10 inch pie pan
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes

Serve warm A la mode.
