Creamy Italian Sausage Pasta With Mushrooms
Equipment
- 1 Large Dutch Oven This is the one we use
Ingredients
- 1 lb Italian Sausage – choose your old heat preference
- 5 cloves Garlic – minced
- 1 lg Yellow onions – chopped
- 1 16 oz Canned Italian pear tomatoes – small pieces
- 2 36 oz Beef broth
- 1 1/2 cups Red wine You can use water as a substitute
- 1/2 tsp Basil
- 1/2 tsp Thyme
- 3 tbsp Parsley – chopped
- 1 Bell pepper – chopped
- 2 Zucchini – sliced
- 3 cups Cheese tortellini noodles Use bowtie noodles as a substitue
Instructions
- In a large Dutch oven brown the sausage and drain the excess fat
- Add onions and garlic and cook until clear
- Stir in tomatoes, broth, wine, and spices/seasonings
- Simmer uncovered for 30 minutes
- Add green peppers, zuchinni, parsley, and noodles
- Cover the pot and simmer for an additional 25 minutes
